Lakes Planning Report

The City of Menomonie proposes to gather information necessary to prepare a baseline water quality data for Lake Menomin and ultimately strive for a comprehensive lake management plan. The project activities include: 1) water quality lab analysis, 2) sediment analysis,sensitive area and macrophyte study, 3) map lake watershed sub watershed boundaries 4) sociological survey of landowners, lake users, community members and district members. Information collected will be disseminated to the public through news releases, public meetings, presentations and a summary mailing to Lake Menomin shore owners and City Staff. The Department will be provided with an electronic and paper copy of the final report.
