EAU CLAIRE COUNTY: Lake Altoona, Aquatic Eco-System Assessment Task 3

Purpose

The Eau Claire County Land Conservation Department proposes to contract with the Army Corps of Engineers to perform a limnological assessment of Lake Altoona. Total (three phase) project activities to include: 1) Construction of hydrological budget and evaluation of extrernal loadings and discharges, 2) Water quality monitoring and evaluation of internal loadings from sediments, and 3) Development and issuance of a final report. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both paper and electronic copies of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter, newspaper articles, meetings and availability of report at the Altoona Public Library.
