TOWN OF MERCER: Township Lakes Development of Shoreland Dev./Aesthetic Dev.

Purpose

The Town of Mercer proposes to establish a set of design and development standards for construction and site inprovement within the shoreland area that will graphically show site recommendations for maintaining waterfront northwoods aesthetics. This township wide project will include the following activities: 1) a photographic assessment 2) define shoreland development issues, 3) develop aesthetic design standards and graphic format examples. The Department of natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by news letter(s), fact sheet(s), public meeting(s), local newspaper articles and a display of information.
