The purpose of the Lake Tomah Dam is to provide a recreational body of water for the City of Tomah, its residents and visitors, to improve water quality of the Lemonweir River, and to control discharge of water from the lake. The scope of this Inspection, Operation and Maintenance Manual is to provide a uniform source of operating information and instructions to the operators of the Lake Tomah Dam over long periods of time, and through changes in personnel that will be operating the dam. It will also provide for periodic maintenance and inspection procedures that will assure a continuing safe condition of the dam structures and electrical and mechanical equipment.
