BOHNERS LAKE IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION: Bohner Lake Aquatic Plant Study and Management Plan

Purpose

Determine the composition of aquatic plant communities and their distribution to Bohners Lake. Identify present and planned lake use and identify any potential conflict related to the current population of aquatic plant growth. Develop an aquatic plantmanagement plan which includes a summary review of alternative measures for plant management. Discuss the importance of native aquatic plants and the problem associated with exotic plant species. Educate the community about the role of aquatic plantsthrough the process of the plan development. The grantee will disseminate information to the public by newsletter mailings, fact sheet distributions, public meetings and local newspaper articles. Project results will be reposited in local mail boxes.
