TOWN OF HUBBARD: Horicon Marsh - Sinissippi Lab Costs

Purpose

This grant will provide for laboratory analysis of water samples taken from stage discharge stations on the Rock River at Horicon, the West Branch of the Rock River near Waupun, and the East Branch of the Rock River near Mayville. The data collected, when combined with previously collected data from these stations, will be used to provide a better understanding of sediment and Phosphorus loads entering Horicon Marsh, leaving Horicon Marsh, and entering Lake Sinissippi. This information is necessary to know what is causing the problems that are being observed and how to return the horicon Marsh and Lake Sinissippi to a healthy ecosystem. A full description of project scope and project deliverables is available in the grant application, which is part of this agreement.
