LAKE METONGA ASSOCIATION, INC.: Lake Metonga, Comprehensive Management Plan

Purpose

The Lake Metonga Association Inc. (LMA) proposes to complete a comprehensive lake management plan for Lake Metonga. Plan elements will be completed by action teams of individuals from the association, and will include lake history, water quality, shoreline and watershed management, lake use, fish and game management, aquatic vegetation, and private waste disposal. The final plan will include the results of the study elements and management recommendations based on the results. The Fish and GameManagementAction Team must consult with Steve AveLallemant, DNR Rhinelander, prior to completing their fisheries assessment and report. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and local newspaper articles.
