VILLAGE OF MERRILLAN: Oak Wood Lake Revitalization Planning

Purpose

The goal of this project is to ascertain the siltation-sediment problem present and develop a plan to revitalze the Lake to an asthetic and recreational fishing asset to the community and regional area. The scope of the project includes: 1) Verification of Lake depths, 2) A plan to restructure the Lake's depth and, 3) A formal engineering report to organize the Village's approach to accomplish the above goals. Include sediment sampling -- the process has determined the necessity of the sediment samplling to complete the disposal site(s) of the dredging spoils.
