PIKE LAKE CHAIN LAKES ASSOCIATION, INC.: Pike Lake Chain Comprehensive Plan - Phase I

Purpose

The Pike Lake Chain Lakes Association Inc. will conduct a 5-phased project for the development of a comprehensive management plan for the chain of lakes. Phase 1of this project will include the development of a lake system history and the development of the comprehensive management plan which will incorporate the results of the project phases 2 through 5. Phase 1will provide information regarding: past management and development on the lakes, completed water quality data, watershed and physical lake characteristics, aquatic plant survey, control methods for exotics, wildlife, shoreland development, and lake use/trends. Specific deliverables for this project include: 1. Lake History Report 2. Comprehensive Lake Management Plan. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and local newspaper articles.
