The Pike Lake Chain Lakes Association, Inc., will sponsor this project to increase the level of volunteer water quality monitoring on the chain. The project will result in data for all four lakes according to the self-help protocol, bottom samples for one lake to identify internal loading and a final report. This grant funds the Pike Lake portion of the overall project. The final report will analyze the volunteer data collected over the next two years. The grant will also include the purchase of a second set of monitoring equipment including a YSI so that two teams can monitor the 4 lakes at a higher frequency. All final reports will provided to the Department with raw and summarized data in both hard copy and electronic format (pdf.).
