LULU LAKE DISTRICT: Lulu Lake Management Project Phase 1

Purpose

Lulu Lake Management District proposes to conduct an aquatic plant survey on Lulu Lake in the summer of 2002. The whole lake aquatic plant survey results will be used to document the current aquatic plant species, assign population ratios and prepare reference maps of the aquatic plant population. The distribution of Eurasian watermilfoil will be mapped. As a result of the aquatic plant survey, an aquatic plant management plan will be developed. A portion of this plan will contain methods of control and eradication of Eurasian watermilfoil. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and electronic copy of the aquatic plant management survey and plan. The aquatic plant survey and management plan will also be disseminated to all lake residents via the Lulu Lake Management District newsletter.
