LOWER LONG LAKE PROT & REHAB DIST: Long Lake Shoreland Restoration/Demo

Purpose

Students, park users, district property owners and the public will learn more about native shoreland landscaping that will : attract hummingbirds, butterflies and birds; enhance natural beauty of the shoreland; provide wildlife habitat; stabilize the soil; protect the lake. One objective is for district property owners to protect existing native shoreland and to restore shoreland. Another objective is to promote good stewardship through education. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
