BIG HILLS LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Big Hills Lake County Park Shoreland Restoration Plan

Purpose

The Big Hills Lake Management District proposes to conduct a shoreland restoration project at Big Hills Lake. Activities will include selecting a natural landscape architect who will provide technical assistance to lake property owners by preparing individualized site plans. These site plans will guide property owners in restoring or enhancing their buffer zones and reduce runoff and erosion while improving wildlife and plant habitat. The sponsor will disseminate information to the public by newsletter, public meeting, and local newspaper article(s). The sponsor will also provide the Department of Natural Resources with a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report.
