Purpose

1)Review literature on wildlife, inland lakes, and sustainability; 2)Assess historical and current development patterns.3)Survey residents for recreational uses, trends, public opinion on social values related to lake use. 4)Compare loon and other wildlife habitat quality, nest attempts, and production rates.5)Apply the Ontario model as a land use planning tool for Wisconsin. 6)Identify protection measures for critical wildlife habitat and buffers.7)Disseminate information to the public by newsletter, summary report mailing, local newspaper articles, and TV/Radio spot.
