CITY OF MAUSTON: Lake Decorah Stormwater Quantity

Purpose

The City of Mauston proposes to prepare a stormwater quantity and impact study as related to their management plan to protect Lake Decorah. Some of the project activities include: 1) public input and education about the impacts, 2) contour map of the city, 3) map of land features including land uses, existing biological communities, 4) samples from all areas to compare to the map data, 5) develop water quantity analysis, 6) evaluate best management practices, 7) review local ordinances and develop long term monitoring strategy. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by news letter(s), fact sheet(s), public meeting(s), local newspaper articles.
