WASHBURN COUNTY LAKES AND RIVERS ASSOCIATION: WCLRA Development Initiatives

Purpose

The Washburn County Lakes and Rivers Association will conduct a multi-phase lake organizational and educational project in Washburn County. This project consists of six project initiatives designed to increase the effectiveness of the sponsoring organization in carrying out its' purpose of; "To promote the environmental protection and responsible use of WASHBURN County surface waters and their attendant wetlands, shorelands and wildlife resources; to share ideas and information through education and active participation for the benefit of individual property owners, lake and river districts and associations, local government, the general public, future generations, and the waters themselves." The six project initiatives are: * Newsletter printing and distribution * Members conference * Board retreat * The preparation and publication of a brochure * Computer program development * Board training Specific deliverables for this project include copies of a summary report and any informational handouts prepared for distribution.
