FRIENDS OF THE JUMP RIVER, INC.: Jump River Water Quality Monitoring Study

Purpose

The Friends of the Jump River, Inc., will conduct a project which will include the following components: water quality monitoring including 8 sites, monitoing during high flow and base flow; macroinvertebrate population monitoring; education and training of volunteers for resource monitoring compilation of historical and current management plans for the watershed development of a strategic action plan education and outreach of public regarding the resource outreach efforts to expand the organizaton membership and develop partnerships with existing committies and government organizations. Specific deliverable for this project include water quality monitoring results, macroinvertebrate sample results, a strategic action plan. The Department of Natural Resources will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the strategic action plan. The project results will be disseminated to the public by newsletter(s), public meeting(s), and/or local newspaper articles.
