Purpose

The project will take place in the Military Ridge Prairie Heritage Area. The diverse partnership of conservation organizations are protecting and restoring a patchwork of prairie stream corridors along the Dane and Iowa County border. Work funded by the grant will focus on stream corridor management on Gordon Creek, including landowner contact, planning assistance, and procuring funding. A full description of the project goal and objectives are in the grant application, which is a part of this application. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described.
