NORTH LAKELAND DISCOVERY CENTER: Manitowish Waters Chain AIS Control & Prevention Project

Purpose

North Lakeland Discovery Center is sponsoring an ACEI grant project which will focus on surveying, mapping and controlling CLP and PL in the Manitowish Chain, Vilas County. Project activities include: 1) Conduct pre/post treatment surveys; 2) Herbicide, biological and hand removal management; 3) Conduct herbicide concentration monitoring; 4) Conduct wild rice surveys and develop maps; 5) Develop treatment reports. Project deliverables include: 1) Aquatic plant survey data and maps; 2) Treatment reports. Specific conditions for this project: Treatment reports need Dept review and approval WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of treatment reports, all maps, and all aquatic plant and GIS data.
