ROBERTS LAKE ASSOCIATION: Roberts Lake EWM ERD Project (2015 - 2018)

Purpose

The Roberts Lake Association is sponsoring an Early Detection Response project which will include baseline plant monitoring and evaluate Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM) densities with the goal of controlling EWM by hand harvesting . EWM was discovered in July of 2015. The project includes the following goals: 1) Complete 2015 point-intercept and EWM peak biomass surveys; 2) Coordinate annual hand-harvesting and EWM population monitoring; 3) Conduct EWM hand harvesting; 4) Overall project evaluation. Project deliverables include: 1) An annual progress report of AIS monitoring and control; 2) Hand harvesting effectiveness (pre/post monitoring/mapping); 3) Control strategies from year to year; 4) A final report summarizing the results. Specific conditions for this Project: The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) will be provided electronic and hard copies of all data and or reports/plans generated as a result of this project; Implement the pre and post treatment monitoring protocol if control techniques are deployed.
