CRESCENT LAKE ASSOCIATION: Crescent Lake AIS-EDR Project (2015-2017)

Purpose

Crescent Lake Association is sponsoring an Early Detection/Response project which will focus on surveying, mapping and hand-pulling the new discovery of EWM in Crescent Lake, Oneida County. Project activities include: 1) Conduct annual early-season AIS and peak-biomass surveys; 2) Conduct PI survey; 3) Volunteer AIS monitoring; 4) Control EWM by professional and volunteer hand removal efforts; 5) Develop annual maps and letter report. Project deliverables include: 1) EWM and PI survey data and maps; 2) Annual letter report describing the findings of the early-season survey, peak-biomass survey, hand-pulling efforts, and guidance for continued control actions. Specific conditions for this project: Annual letter report needs Department review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of letter reports, all maps, and all aquatic plant and GIS data.
