PINE LAKE P & R DISTRICT: Pine Lake Comprehensive Management Plan Update

Purpose

Pine Lake P&R District is sponsoring a LPL grant to study Pine Lake, in Forest County. The project will focus on developing a Lake Management Plan (LMP) from recently collected data. Project activities include: 1) Citizen participation \2013 stakeholder survey, planning meetings and public input meetings; 2) Water quality analysis; 3) Fisheries assessment; 4) Watershed assessment/analysis; 5) Shoreland and Coarse Woody Habitat assessment/analysis; 6) Collect and synthesize existing lake data; 7) Aquatic plant survey (PI survey, community mapping and substrate mapping) analysis; 8) Develop LMP. Project deliverables include: 1) Stakeholder survey; 2) Water chemistry data; 3) Watershed maps and modeling data; 4) PI, shoreland and woody habitat data; 5) Aquatic plant community; 6) Aquatic plant vouchers; 7) LMP. Specific conditions for this project: 1) Draft of stakeholder survey needs Dept review and approval; 2) Draft of LMP needs Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of LMP, stakeholder survey, data from PI survey, shoreland assessment, woody habitat assessment, watershed assessment and water quality sampling, all maps from project, all GIS data, and aquatic plant vouchers.
