LINCOLN COUNTY: Lk. Mohawksin Treatment Monitoring, Planning & Education Project

Purpose

Lincoln County Conservation Department is sponsoring an Aquatic Invasive Species Education, Prevention & Planning grant to be completed by December 31, 2007. The project will focus on AIS education, prevention, and monitoring. Project activities include: 1) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program 2) Conduct AIS citizen lake monitoring following Dept/UW Ext guidelines 3) Entry of inspection forms 3200-120 and monitoring forms onto Dept website 4) Pre-treatment and post-treatment surveys 5) Purchase a DO meter 6) DO monitoring in treatment areas 7) Informational meeting and treatment monitoring results meeting Project deliverables include: 1) Completed entry of inspection 3200-120 and monitoring forms onto Dept website 2) DO meter 3) Final report summarizing CB/CW activities, AIS monitoring, pre and post treatment monitoring, meetings, GPS locations, and guidance for continued control actions Specific Conditions for this project: - Final report needs Dept review and approval WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) and hard copy of final report.
