LOWER LONG LAKE PROT & REHAB DIST: Long Shoreland Restoration

Purpose

The Lower Long Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District proposes to plan for establishment of community based performance standards that riparians may adopt to minimize nutrient flow into Lower Long Lake in Chippewa County. Major project elements to include 1) Planning and installation of two shoreland buffers and rain gardens, 2) Documentation of costs associated with these BMPs, 3) Contracting for site evaluations and development of site restoration plans, 4) Workshops and materials for riparians, 5) final report.
