EAGLE SPRING LAKE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT: Eagle Spring Update Lake Mgnt Plan

Purpose

The Eagle Springs Lake Management District proposal is to produce an updated comprehensive lake management plan for Eagle Spring Lake. This project will 1) Compile and synthesis watershed tributary data 2) Water quality and quantity data collection 3) Aquatic plant community inventory 4) Review & identify environmentally critical areas in and around the lake 5) Assessment of recreational use and use demands on the lake 6) Review water quality and use problems 7) Determine alternative water quality management actions 8) Identify future community informational need 9) development of recommended in lake water quality management 9) Development of recommended water quality management actions 10) Conduct public information programs. Products to be produced are:1) a SEWRPC Community Assistance Planning report containing the elements listed above; 2) A comprehensive lake management plan and 3) an aquatic plant management plan. A full description of the project scope and deliverables is in the grant application, which is part of this agreement. The DNR will be provided with two paper copies and an electronic copy of the final report. Information will be disseminated to the public as described in the grant application.
