CO/PA/PI VOLUNTARY LAKE ASSOCIATION: DO Meter & Monitoring

Purpose

Long term Dissolved oxygen monitoring will take place on Connors Lake for the Self Help Monitoring Program. The project includes the following goals: 1. More efficient and less time consuming for volunteer (Connor's lake is 80+ feet deep). 2. Allow for testing of DO at more frequent intervals to develop a more comprehensive profile. 3. Increase accuracy of testing. 4. Allow for rapid testing of multiple sites following large-scale herbicide treatments of EWM. 5. Establish DO profiles to assist WDNR biologists in determining if Connor's lake is a candidate for a two story fishery. Project deliverables include: 1. Proof that the meter was purchased. Specific conditions for this Project: 1. DO profile data should be to Jeff Scheirer, Fishery Biologist in Park Falls. 2. The information collected by the Self-help monitor should be entered into the department database.
