CRESCENT LAKE ASSOCIATION: Cresent Lake AIS Education and Protection Project

Purpose

Crescent Lake Association is sponsoring an AIS EPP grant to be completed by December 31, 2009. The project will focus on AIS education, prevention and monitoring. Project activities include: 1) Recruit volunteers and implement a CB/CW program at Crescent Lake landing; 2) Hire a project coordinator; 3) Conduct AIS citizen lake monitoring following Dept/UW Ext guidelines; 4) Entry of inspection Forms 3200-120 and monitoring Forms 3200-124 onto Dept website; 5) Disseminate AIS information (grocery bags, place mats, calendars, labels and other AIS hand-out literature). Project deliverables include: 1) Completed entry of inspection Forms 3200-120 and monitoring Forms 3200-124 onto Dept website; 2) Assembled AIS information (grocery bags, place mats, calendars, labels, etc.); 3) Final report summarizing CB/CW activities, AIS monitoring, and AIS educational activities. Specific Conditions for this project: Final report needs Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) and hard copy of final report, samples of assembled AIS information.
