THE PRAIRIE ENTHUSIASTS, INC.: Preventing Spread of Reed Canary Grass & Watercress-Williams Barneveld Creek

Purpose

The Prairie Enthusiasts will sponsor a project along the Williams-Barneveld Creek. This overall project goal is to prevent pioneer populations of reed canary grass and watercress from reproducing and/or expanding. Project deliverables include: 1)treatment of existing populations; 2) monitoring and scouting for additional seedlings; 3) suppression and control activities; 4) recover, maintain and enhance original vegetation community; 5) document and educate the public through written newsletters of this aquatic invasive species effort.
