ELK CREEK LAKE R & P DISTRICT: Elk Creek Lake PRD-Elk Creek Lake Riprap Lined Waterway

Purpose

Elk Creek Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District (ECLP&RD), proposes a grading project from 990th Street to 1000th street across from the Elk Creek Lake Central Park Beach area to prevent sediment from washing into the lake negatively affecting public access and wildlife habitat. The project involves site prep of clearing and stripping topsoil, channel and bank sloping and installing rip rap and erosion matting to hold the hillside and decrease the sediment flowing into the lake. Project final deliverables include: A final report including final engineering plan, photos before, during and after the project, and analysis of the success of the project after spring thaw in 2022 Specific project activities include: Site preparation, stabilize grade, erosion control, site maintenance, project evaluation. Special Conditions: The grantee shall enter into a cost-share agreement with all landowners and record the cot-share agreement at the register of deeds office in the county where the property is located. The recorded agreement must contain a 20-year operation and maintenance plan.
