LITTLE RICE LAKE ASSOCIATION: RES - Purchase and Installation of Aeration System

Purpose

LRLA is sponsoring a lake protection grant to purchase and install an aeration system and monitor water quality in Little Rice Lake, in Forest County. Project activities include: 1) Water quality assessment; 2) Purchase and install aeration equipment; 3) Develop annual report and final report. Project deliverables include: 1) Water quality data entered into DNR SWIMS database; 2) Aeration equipment; 3) Annual summary and final report that includes final designs, assessment information, and pre/post site photos. Specific project conditions: 1) All necessary permits shall be obtained prior to commencing work; 2) Final project/system designs must be approved by DNR Fish Biologist before construction begins; 3) Final report needs Dept review and approval. WDNR Lakes Management Coordinator will be provided with an electronic (pdf or word) copy of annual summary, final report, all maps, data and GIS from project. 4) The grantee shall enter into a 10-year operation and maintenance sponsor/landowner agreement and record the agreement at the register of deeds office in the county where the property is located. The useful life of the aeration system is 10 years. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. The grant sponsor shall submit all data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lakes Biologist. DNR is to receive both paper and electronic .pdf copies of the final report along with, or prior to submission of grantee's final payment request.
