VILLAGE OF BARNEVELD: Birch Lake Feasibility Study-Pt. 2

Purpose

The Village of Barneveld proposes to complete a Feasibility study on Birch Lake, Iowa County, to develop a comprehensive management plan for lake restoration. The project activities include: 1. present diagnostic findings at a public meeting and discuss management options, 2. solicit comments and responses from a user survey, and 3. prepare final plan with recommended management and restoration. Deliverables for this grant include 1. a copy of the user survey, 2. the final management plan, and 3. all applicable ranking question deliverables. The DNR will be provided with both a paper copy and an editable electronic copy of the final report. The project results will be disseminated to the public by sharing the final document with NRCS, Iowa County LCD, and fact sheets shared with the public and media.
