Purpose
The Town of Cumberland is sponsoring a three-year Eurasian watermilfoil response project on Lower and Upper Vermillion Lakes, Barron County, to do the following activities: community information and education; Clean Boats Clean Waters watercraft inspections; aquatic plant survey and management planning; and Eurasian watermilfoil management and monitoring.
Specifically the deliverables associated with this project include: 1) A project report summarizing information/education, management, and monitoring activities; 2) Clean Boats Clean Waters data collection summary. Data collected must include those data required as part of the CBCW program and must be entered in the statewide database to be eligible for grant reimbursement; 3) Aquatic plant point intercept survey results; 4) Aquatic Plant Management Plan.
Special Conditions: 1) Grant monies may not be used for control of established curlyleaf pondweed populations; 2) WDNR's Aquatic Plant Management in Wisconsin guidance should be followed for point-intercept survey monitoring and aquatic plant management plan development; 3) Draft public surveys must be reviewed and approved by the Department before being initiated.

Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Coordinator.
