Purpose
To cost-share landowner installation of manure management practices to prevent winter spread of liquid manure for protection of Maple Creek and groundwater and to address the Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions under Subchapter II of NR 151 relating to manure storage facilities, nutrient management, and prevention of unconfined manure piles in water quality management areas.Outcome
Installed a manure storage facility for a sand-bedded freestall barn. EQIP funded parts of the installation, so DNR's costs were reduced.Related Reports
