WASHBURN COUNTY LAKES AND RIVERS ASSOCIATION: WCLRA Youth Environmental Stewardship

Purpose

The Washburn County Lakes and Rivers Association is sponsoring a youth education project in partnership with Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary and Long Lake Preservation Association. The primary purpose is to bus four schools to the sanctuary on four separate field days and teach them about water resources stewardship. The WCLRA grant will be used for project evaluation and laboratory equipment and supplies. Specific deliverables for this project include a summary report including evaluation results and examples of educational tools, publications, and/or presentations developed. This scope is intended to summarize the detailed project scope provided in the application and does not supersede those application tasks/deliverables. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional Lake Coordinator.
