GLACIERLAND RC&D, INC.: Pigeon River Watershed 9KE Planning

Purpose

Glacierland RCD is undertaking Phase 2 planning efforts to complete a Watershed Plan for the Pigeon River, consistent with USEPA 9-Key Element and WDNR Planning requirements. Project final deliverables include: 1) A DRAFT Pigeon River Watershed Plan provided to DNR Staff for review and approval. 2) An EPA approved 9-Key Element Plan for the Pigeon River Watershed. Specific project activities include: 1) Hold two stakeholder meetings, presenting results of source inventory, goals, and education plan; and present draft Watershed Plan. 2) Conduct and complete STEPL modelling for watershed. 3) Per application, conduct watershed field surveys. 4) Complete a DRAFT Watershed Plan for the Pigeon River, including management objectives, actions, timelines, identification of potential funding sources and STEPL load reductions for each management objective. 5) Provide to the Department an electronic and hard copy of the EPA Approved 9-Key Element Pigeon River Watershed Plan. 6) Provide to the Department a written summary of outreach conducted as part of Plan development, including meetings held, summaries of site observations and stakeholder input, and a summary of advertising undertaken to promote Plan development. This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, and reports, including GIS-based maps, and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional River Biologist.
