MUSSER LAKE ASSOCIATION: Musser Lake Management Plan, Phase 1

Purpose

The Musser Lake Property Owners Association in will conduct work to complete phase I and II of a four phase planning effort. At the conclusion of the project Musser Lake will complete a pre/post CLP treatment evaluation, a lake point intercept plant survey and a Lake Management Plan. This grant is funding phase I. The project includes the following goals (Phase I and II): 1) Conduct CLP pretreatment surveys and treatment area refinement (Spring 2010 and 2011) (phase I); 2) Conduct CLP peak biomass surveys (Spring 2010 and 2011) (phase I); 3) Conduct AIS training sessions with local lake leaders (phase I); 4) Conduct a point -intercept plant survey; 5) Complete native and non-native community mapping; 6) Complete a shoreline assessment; 7) Compile fisheries data information; 8) Conduct Clean Boat/Clean Water landing inspection program (phase II). Project deliverables include: An interim report summarizing the activities accomplished in Phase I and II. A final report will be submitted following the completion of Phase III and IV. Specific conditions: 1) The WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of all data and or reports/plans generated as a result of this project; 2) Review past treatment information and provide a summary report listing areas treated and the effectiveness of the treatment.
