Purpose
Barron County Soil and Water Conservation Department is sponsoring a single-season early detection and response project that will monitor and manage pioneering populations of Japanese knotweed adjacent to Rice Lake and the Chetek Chain.
Project activities include: identification, mapping, and management of pioneering colonies. Management may include multiple herbicide applications/methods and mowing.
Project deliverables include: final project report with evaluation results and any educational materials developed.
This scope summarizes the project detail provided in the application and does not negate tasks/deliverables described therein. Data, records, reports, and education materials, including GIS-based maps and digital images, must be submitted to the Department in a format specified by the regional lake coordinator.
