COLUMBIA COUNTY: Benish TRC/NOD Runoff Management

Purpose

To cost-share landowner installation of barnyard and manure management practices to provide runoff management protection for Lake Wisconsin, to comply with the Agricultural Performance Standards and Prohibitions involving erosion, manure storage, clean water diversions, nutrient management planning, prevention of overflow from manure storage facilities, and prevention of direct runoff from a feedlot or stored manure into waters of the state, and to resolve the conditions identified in the Notice of Discharge (NOD) issued October 26, 2009. This is a combined Notice of discharge and Targeted Runoff Management grant.
