GREEN LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOC OF WASH CTY: Green Lake EWM Control

Purpose

The Green Lake Property Owners Association will contract with a consultant to conduct two plant surveys and one chemical treatment on Green Lake, Washington Co., WI. The purpose of the treatment is to deal with a pioneer infestation (4.87 acres) of Eurasian Water Milfoil. The plant was documented in the lake in 2007. The project deliverables include the following: 1) Clean Boats, Clean Waters \2013 a minimum of 50 hours volunteer watercraft inspection, 10 hours data entry and 4 hours training; 2) Volunteer monitoring of treated EWM beds after the second plant survey is completed \2013 up to 10 hours; 3) placement of kiosk clean up stations at the boat launches; 4) completion of a pre treatment and post treatment plant survey (between 40 and 60 point intercept locations for each survey); and 5) a final report. The final report will contain the raw data for the pre and post surveys; analysis of the data which includes three GPS maps, summary statistics and a discussion of the changes within the sampled plant communities; description of the treatment; description of the volunteer efforts (#1, #2 and #3 above); and entry of the Clean Boats, Clean Waters data into the statewide database (SWIMS).
