PHILLIPS CHAIN O'LAKES ASSOC: Phillips Chain AIS Control & Prevention Project

Purpose

The Phillips Chain O\2019 Lakes Association is sponsoring a project which includes the finalizing of an Aquatic Plant Management Plan including proposed management options to control Eurasian Water Milfoil (EWM). One of the recommendations that will be considered is a whole lake chemical treatment on Wilson Flowage. Before that can be considered an updated point-intercept survey needs to occur on Wilson Flowage. The project includes the following goals: 1) Wilson lake Point-Intercept Survey; 2) EWM mapping survey on Wilson, Long, Elk and Duroy Lakes; 3) Specimen preservation and vouchering. Project deliverables include: A final report will be completed discussing the results of the surveys and recommended treatment strategies in the winter of 2012. Specific conditions for this Project: 1) The WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of all data and or reports/plans generated as a result of this project; 2) Make sure lake association members are informed about this project ; 3) Provide hard copy of point intercept data in proper spreadsheet format.
