VILLAGE OF BARNEVELD: Birch Lake Prelim. Engineering Design & Biological Survey

Purpose

The Village of Barneveld proposes to continue evaluating Birch Lake, Iowa County, for a possible diversion project. Hydraulic and hydrologic information will be obtained, current fish populations will be determined, and preliminary engineering work will define the scope and cost of a diversion project. A water resources survey report will be completed as part of the overall lake management plan. Information will be presented at public meetings, in local news releases, and summarized, with all raw data, in the final report.
