Big Cedar Lake Core 1998

Purpose

Two sediment cores were collected from Big Cedar Lake on 3 November 1998. The cores were dated by the Lead-210 method and the CRS model used to estimate dates and the sedimentation rate. The cores were analyzed for diatoms to assess changes in nutrient levels during the last 150 years and geochemical variables in order to determine the causes of changes in the water quality.
