Silver Creek 303 d Evaluation Continuation

Purpose

This is year two continuation of a previous Project ID: SCR_03_CMP12 for additional monitoring of Silver Creek (WBIC: 1280000) in Sauk County, which is a listed as a 303 d water. Jean Unmuth and interns will monitor Fish for IBI, and quantitative habitat at Kinnamann Road and Schuette Road. Sauk County has agreed to cooperate, and collect macroinvertebrate samples at the same sites to be analyzed by UW-Superior. This will ensure multiple lines of data exist before a decision to delist the stream can be made.

Objective

This will ensure multiple lines of data exist before a decision can be made to remove Silver Creek (WBIC 1280000) from the 303 d list. An additional fish IBI and a quantitative habitat will be collected at SWIMS stations 10033674 Kinnamann Road and 10033676 Schuette Road.

Outcome

1. Number of sample sites associated with the project = 2. Number of sampling events associated with the project = 3. Estimated date when sample collection will be complete = November 2012. Estimated date when all data will be entered into appropriate database = September 2013. Estimated date when final report will be complete = January 2013
