Reports and Documents
Since its inception, the Three Lakes Waterfront Association (TLWA), along with its long-time partner, the Town of Three Lakes, has worked to prevent introduction and establishment of aquatic invasive species within the chain of lakes. The groups have approached this sometimes overwhelming task through diligent volunteer monitoring of the chain’s littoral zone (Adopt-AShoreline) and an annual educational initiative that includes direct contact with lake stakeholders through multiple avenues, such as conducting annual meetings with educational speakers, staffing informational booths and manning the chain’s many landings with Clean Boats / Clean Waters watercraft inspectors. The association also educates stakeholders through more passive activities, like direct mailings, newsletters and signage at boat landings.
