MUSSER LAKE ASSOCIATION: Musser Lake AIS Control & Prevention Project - Implementation Phase II

Purpose

The Musser Lake Property Owners Association will conduct work to evaluate a 6 foot winter drawdown (Winter 2013) and monitor the ecological effects and plan for a 2015 herbicide treatment. The project includes the following goals: 1) Conduct CLP pretreatment surveys and treatment area refinement (Spring 2015); 2) Conduct CLP peak biomass surveys (Spring 2014 and 2015); 3) Conduct quantitative monitoring (sub-sample PI survey) (2013, 2014 and 2015); 4) Wild rice survey and map creation (2014 and 2015); 5) Drawdown monitoring report and treatment planning (2014 and 2015); 6) Shoreline buffer installation project (2013-2014); 7) Implement Clean Boats/Clean Waters Program. Project deliverables include: 1) Drawdown monitoring report; 2) 2015 treatment report. Specific conditions for this project: 1) The WDNR will be provided electronic and hard copies of all data and or reports/plans generated as a result of this project; 2) Consider deed restriction on shore land restoration sites.
