Longear Sunfish (Lepomis megalotis), listed as Threatened in Wisconsin, prefers clear, shallow, moderately warm, still waters of streams and occasionally in lakes. Found in or near vegetation. Spawning occurs from late-May through mid-July, sporadically into August.
