| 10/09/2016 RRJ RECEIVED CALL FROM THE SPILLS LINE THAT A TANKER TRUCK HAULING MANURE TIPPED OVER AND LOST BETWEEN 5,000 TO 6,000 GALLON TO A DITCH. THE DITCH WAS DRY AND WAS BLOCKED TO CONTAIN THE MANURE. SPILLS LINE GAVE RRJ RP INFORMATION (SARA BABCOCK WITH ROSENDALE DAIRY; 920-858-6976). RRJ CALLED SARA FOR MORE INFORMATION. SARA INDICATED THAT TANKER TIPPED OVER DUE TO HUMAN ERROR AND LOST NEARLY THE ENTIRE LOAD TO THE DITCH. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE DITCH WAS BLOCKED TO CONTAIN THE MANURE. A RESPONSE COMPANY (VAC TRUCK) WAS IN ROUTE TO THE SCENE AND WILL VAC UP THE DITCH. WILL ALSO FLUSH THE DITCH A FEW TIMES TO MAKE SURE THINGS ARE APPROPRIATELY CLEANED UP.
10/11/2016 RRJ LEFT MESSAGE WITH SARAH B AT ROSENDALE DAIRY ASKING HOW CLEANUP WENT AND EXPLAINED THAT A DOCUMENTATION REPORT WILL BE NEEDED TO CLOSE THE SPILL. ASKED THAT SHE CALL ME BACK TO DISCUSS. SARA CALLED BACK ONLY 1,000 GALS WAS SPILLED THE REST WAS IN THE TANKER. USED 1,000 GALLONS OF CLEAN WATER TO FLUSH THE DITCH THE MORNING AFTER THE SPILL AND FLUSHED A SECOND TIME ON 10/10/2016.
SENT CASEY JONES AN EMAIL WITH ABOVE NOTES ON 10/12/2016.
10/24/2016 RRJ RECEIVED REPORT FROM ROSENDALE DAIRY. CONFIRMED WITH ROSENDALE DAIRY THAT MANURE AND CLEANED WATER USED TO FLUSH DITCH WAS REAPPLIED TO FIELD. |
