A Remedial Action Plan was submitted on October 14, 2016, which presented details on the implementation of an enhanced reductive dechlorination remedy followed by natural attenuation monitoring of groundwater. Soil remediation consisting of enhanced reductive dechlorination by mixing Anaerobic Biochem plus zero-valent iron was completed in the soil source area in November 2016. Soil confirmation sampling and groundwater natural attenuation monitoring to evaluate the performance of the remedy were initiated in March 2017 and April 2017, respectively, and groundwater monitoring is ongoing. One downgradient monitoring well was installed off-site (MW-16) to delineate the extent of groundwater impacts to the east of downgradient well MW-6. This new well was sampled in April 2017 and is being included in the monitored natural attenuation (MNA) groundwater sampling events going forward. A Soil Remedial Action Completion Report describing the soil remedial action performed at the site, including the first round of MNA groundwater monitoring results, is being prepared for submittal to the WDNR in August 2017.
