BNSF has continued to coordinate with WDNR regarding access needs for WDNRâs restoration project at Pickle Pond, and closure of the BRRTS file related to the Pickle Pond project. Specific coordination activities conducted during this reporting period consisted of the following:
August 7, 2017: BNSF participated in a kick-off call for the WDNR-led design-phase of the pond restoration project.
August 28, 2017: BNSF provided WDNR with requested information related to BNSF property ownership.
October 5, 2017: BNSF participated in a conference call with WDNR to discuss a draft proposed Negotiated Agreement outline for access to BNSF property to facilitate WDNRâs pond restoration project, as well as closure of the BRRTS file.
November 7, 2017: BNSF participated in a site visit with WDNR to review the proposed limits of the vegetated filter strip WDNR is proposing to construct along the shoreline of Pickle Pond near the railyard, as a component of WDNRâs pond restoration project.
December 21, 2017: BNSF provided comments on a draft Remedial and Habitat Design Services Scope of Work developed by WDNR as part of a Request for Qualifications for the pond restoration design.
December 21, 2017: BNSF submitted a letter to WDNR regarding the proposed Negotiated Agreement.
