Comments: The Army is handling PFC contamination at all Army Installations under a nationwide contract. To maximize protection of human health and safety, investigation and remediation of PFC contamination is being prioritized based upon risk, in accordance with the 1992 Department of Defense and State Memorandum of Agreement (DSMOA). Therefore, the military installations with PFC contamination in potable wells are being addressed first. Fort McCoy has no PFC contamination in any of the installation's potable wells. The CERCLA PA will be conducted at Fort McCoy during July 2018. If warranted, some SI sampling may occur during CY2018. Fort McCoy will submit PA/SI results to the WDNR upon receipt, and keep the WDNR informed of progress and lessons learned regarding the nationwide PFC investigation/remediation at other installations as this information becomes available.
